Privacy and retention

We collect only what the forms need, use it for the reason you gave it, and do not sell it.

The policy, plainly
Subscriptions
Airtable stores your email, confirmation status, site source, and consent note. Postmark sends the confirmation and later update emails.
Contact
Postmark delivers your email address and message to the editorial mailbox. Contact messages do not add you to the subscription list and are not stored in Airtable.
Retention
Unconfirmed subscriptions are deleted after 30 days. Contact messages are deleted within 12 months unless the material is moved into a protected editorial workflow.
Your choice
Every update email must include an unsubscribe link. To request access or deletion, use the Contact form and choose “General.”

What we do not collect

The site does not ask the forms for your name, phone number, mailing address, employer, or political affiliation. The server uses a one-way hash of the request address for a short-lived, best-effort abuse limit; it is not added to subscriber or contact records.

Contact is not SecureDrop

The contact form is ordinary email. Do not use it for confidential, classified, or identifying source material. A secure-source channel is not yet published.

Service providers

Airtable processes subscription records. Postmark delivers confirmation, update, and contact email. Hosting logs are handled by the site’s hosting provider and are not used to build advertising profiles.
